Focus, Particpants, & Dates

Focus

The focus of the workshop will be on assessing accuracy of CFD codes and modeling techniques by comparison with measured data from two main test cases. The first one is a diffusing S-Duct with and without AIP instrumentation, and with and without VGs installed. The second one is a pair of nozzle cases featuring a dual separate flow reference nozzle (DSFR) and the second a dual mixed flow reference nozzle (DMFR). Additional details for each can be found by clicking the links in the upper left corner of this page.

Baseline computational grids will be provided for both the S-Duct and Nozzle test cases. Participants are expected to provide solutions on these reference grids. However, geometry will also be available to those interested in developing their own meshes. Participants may run one or more cases if the required example grid solution is completed.

The workshop provides an impartial forum to present findings, discuss results, exchange ideas, and evaluate the effectiveness of existing computer codes and modeling techniques
